As a Systems Administrator, it is somewhat surprising that Doug Stromer uses a managed IT service in the Nashville area. But the IT leader at Custom Packaging, a company that designs, creates and prints packaging and displays for companies all around the world, trusts the protection of his systems to BlueCore Technologies.

“BlueCore is our staff,” Doug says. “A network issue impacts so many aspects of our business – data input, orders, invoicing, sales. It’s good to have others on standby when I have an emergency or need other experience and knowledge.”

BlueCore typically takes care of Custom Packaging’s network and servers while Doug maintains the day-to-day technical needs like individual PCs and helpdesk issues. Still, because Doug uses BlueCore’s Monthly Maintenance Partnership (MMP), he can call them as many times as he needs on any issue, even if it’s one that is not network or server related.

“They always respond quickly,” he notes. “Since they are IT professionals, they can understand and express a level of severity accurately, and that is helpful for me.”

“Without BlueCore, I’d probably quit,” Doug laughs. “I have other companies who call on me and want our business, but I have no reason to leave BlueCore.”
